WereDice

A social-deduction party game that fuses Werewolf's bluffing with Yahtzee dice β€” find the werewolves before they outnumber the village.

πŸ‘₯ 4–12 players⏱️ 15–40 min

WereDice is a hidden-role party game that blends the deception of Werewolf (Mafia) with the press-your-luck dice rolling of Yahtzee. Every player is secretly dealt a role, and from that moment on nobody can be fully trusted. Each round you'll roll five dice to compete for a special power, then argue, bluff, and vote to root out the werewolves hiding among you.

It's built for game night on your own phones β€” one device each, no app store, no sign-up. The server deals roles privately and shows every player only what their character is allowed to see, so you can pass nothing but suspicion across the table.

How to play

  1. Everyone is secretly assigned a role: Werewolf, Alpha Werewolf, Seer, Doctor, Hunter, or Villager. Only you can see your own card.
  2. Each round opens with a Dice Phase. Like Yahtzee, you roll five dice up to three times, keeping the dice you like between rolls.
  3. Whoever finishes with the strongest dice hand wins the Action Power for that round β€” a meaningful edge worth fighting for.
  4. At night the village 'sleeps': werewolves secretly pick a victim, the Seer learns whether one player is a werewolf, and the Doctor may protect someone from being eliminated.
  5. By day, everyone debates who looks suspicious and votes to eliminate one player. The accused is revealed.
  6. The village wins when every werewolf is gone; the werewolves win the moment they equal or outnumber the surviving villagers. An eliminated player who rolls a Yahtzee (five of a kind) can claw their way back into the game.

Frequently asked questions

How many people do I need to play WereDice?

WereDice works best with 5 to 12 players, but you can start a game with as few as 4. The more players, the richer the bluffing and deduction.

Do I need to download anything?

No. WereDice runs in your phone's browser. One player starts a room, everyone else joins with the room code or QR link β€” no installs, no accounts.

Can an eliminated player get back in?

Yes. A player who has been eliminated can return to the game by rolling a Yahtzee β€” five matching dice β€” giving everyone a reason to keep rolling.
